WLS is dropping Dr. Laura
So says my mom, who knows more about Chicago area talk radio than any layperson really ought to. Apparently Laura's morality schtick has gotten obsolete in a hurry in the post September 11 world. Or at least, that's something she can blame it on the way failed dot-coms do.

Filling the void (with some local personalities moving from evenings to mid-morning) is a tape delay of Sean Hannity's program. I have to admit I just don't get Hannity's appeal. Not that he's bad, but I don't see greatness in him.

Oh well. Less Laura means good news for libertarian leanings. But it also means I'll never get to trigger that cosmic accident wherein Dr. Laura and Dan Savage suddenly each get advice-seeking e-mail meant for the other one.
