Monica says it was mutual. I think we all know what this means, though CNN tactfully skirts the issue. My opinion of Clinton grudgingly goes up, since the one-sided nature of things was in fact one of the things I complained about.

I have very strong opinions, having seen the former phenomenon first-hand and developed a finely-tuned resentment of the latter author. She can flat-out write, I'll readily grant you (there's a reason she makes the big bucks and Molly Ivins is stuck in obscurity), but she has nothing worthwhile to say.

I could easily fill Maureen Dowd's shoes. I write extraordinarily well but often with half-assed opinions. I'd rather spew out some words than bother to think through a premise and conclusion and, heaven forbid, back it all up. Gratuitous ad hominem attacks are also far more fun than bothering to take people who disagree with you seriously.

Unfortunately, I'm right-of-center and I have a penis. That seems to disqualify me from the Quindlen Chair.
